It has been correctly said that age doesn’t matter when it comes to looks, and that fact was proved correct at the Gladrags Mrs India 2009 Pageant this past week. Sofia Handa, a 26 year old from Mumbai walked away with the crown, while Shreema Roy was declared as the first runner up and Shivalaika Sharma, the second runner up of Gladrags Mrs India 2009 Contest.

Sofia, 26, emerged victorious, beating 22 participants in the ninth edition of the Gladrags ‘Mrs India’ contest on Saturday.

Bollywood actor Mahima Chowdhary who was present on the occasion said the contest was unique in the sense that it did not have age limit like other beauty pageants.

“Miss India is limited to a certain age group. This is like endless. You could belong to any age group and take part. So you get to see a lot more variety here,” said Mahima.

Apart from stints in modelling, the winner had also featured in music videos in the past.

“I am really feeling great. I am sure it is my hard work that has been seen and nothing else. I mean I was standing up there and my name was called out, number 14,” said Handa.

    Methodology
    The workshop will be based on the principles of experiential learning. Our workshops weave role-playing, interactive group activities, hands-on experiences, simulation activities, group discussions, visual aids, games, and quiz. The aim is to address problems, challenges and real-life situations with practical and concrete solutions. Our activities are designed to make learning easier for the participants by fostering interaction. They stimulate creative thinking, illustrate new concepts and challenge basic assumptions.

    Unnati Davara groomed and trained by Pageant Coach Ritika Ramtri of The Tiara wins Pantaloons Femina Miss India East 2010 and Sushrii Shriya Mishra and Vijaya Dey also trained by The Tiara make it to top 5.
